Gwalior Monsoon Set to Return After 15-Day Pause, Rains Expected in 96 Hours

Gwalior, June 12, 2025 After a 15-day dry spell, the monsoon is finally expected to arrive in Gwalior within the next 96 hours, bringing much-needed relief to the region. The sudden halt in rainfall had raised concerns among residents and farmers, as temperatures remained high and humidity offered little comfort.

According to weather experts, the monsoon had temporarily stalled due to changes in atmospheric conditions. However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has now indicated favourable developments in the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea, which are expected to drive the rain-bearing clouds towards northern Madhya Pradesh.

Light to moderate showers are likely to begin in the next three to four days, with heavier rainfall expected soon after. The return of the monsoon will not only bring relief from the heat but also support the beginning of the Kharif sowing season in the region.

Authorities have urged residents to stay updated with weather alerts and prepare for possible heavy showers later in the week.
