Gwalior, 27 May 2025A shocking incident of violence was reported from Gwalior, where a petrol pump employee was physically assaulted by a group of youths after he refused to provide fuel late at night. The incident took place at Bajrang Petrol Pump located between Kitora and Mehgaon villages in the Gijorra police station limits.

According to officials, the employee, Mangal Baghel, was shutting down the petrol station for the day when six youths arrived on motorcycles and demanded petrol. When Baghel explained that the machines were closed and fuel could not be dispensed, the youths became aggressive. Moments later, they began beating him before fleeing the scene.

The entire assault was captured on the station’s CCTV cameras. Based on the footage, police have launched an investigation and are working to identify the culprits. So far, no arrests have been made.

This incident has raised concerns about the safety of staff at fuel stations operating in isolated areas or during late hours. Authorities are now considering stricter security measures at such facilities to avoid further such attacks.
