Massive Fire in Gwalior: Four Injured, Several Houses Destroyed
Gwalior, 28 April 2025 — A massive fire that broke out in the fields of Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior district on Sunday quickly spread to nearby villages due to strong winds, leaving four people injured and several houses completely gutted.
Fire brigade teams rushed to the spot and managed to bring the blaze under control after considerable effort. The injured were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Local authorities have begun relief operations and are assessing the damage.
Preliminary reports suggest that the fire may have started from the burning of crop residue, although a detailed investigation is underway. The incident has once again highlighted the urgent need to strengthen fire safety measures in rural areas.
