Wife Poses as Fake Girlfriend to Catch Cheating Husband in Gwalior

Gwalior, 15 May 2025: In a bizarre incident from Madhav Ganj area of Gwalior, a suspicious wife turned into a fake online girlfriend to test her husband's loyalty — only to expose him in a dramatic confrontation that eventually reached the police.
According to reports, a 23-year-old woman had been married since 2021 to a man working as a sales executive at a private firm. Over time, she began suspecting her husband's behaviour. He stayed up late on his phone, kept it locked, and appeared distant — fuelling her doubts.
To find out the truth, the wife created a fake Facebook profile and started chatting with her husband using a new WhatsApp number. Posing as another woman, she gradually gained his trust over the next two months. During their chats, the husband claimed he was unmarried and working at a multinational company.
Eventually, the "fake girlfriend" (his wife in disguise) arranged a meeting. When the husband turned up at the location, he was shocked to see his real wife standing there. A heated argument followed, and the matter escalated to the local women’s police station.
After a month of counselling and intervention by authorities, the couple agreed to reconcile. Police confirmed that no legal action was taken as both parties chose to resolve the issue peacefully and continue their marriage.
