Gwalior: In a strong move to prevent misuse of firearms, the Gwalior police have taken action against 19 licensed gun owners whose weapons were reportedly involved in illegal activities. This step highlights the authorities’ focus on ensuring responsible gun ownership and public safety.
The Gwalior-Chambal region is known for its deep-rooted gun culture, where firearms are often seen as status symbols. Unfortunately, some licensed weapons have been misused in criminal cases and personal disputes.
Following investigations, the police have identified these 19 individuals and recommended suspending or cancelling their gun licences. The move aims to send a clear message that misuse of firearms will not be tolerated.
